STANTON 981HZS

    The Stanton 981HZS is perhaps one of the best tracking cartridges ever made, period. The only cartridge I have ever tested that can play all 50 seconds of the Telarc Omnidisc tracking test. That corresponds to 50cm/s velocity. Just an amazing ability to hold the groove. Perhaps explaining the popularity of all the cousin's of the 881 series and the natural ease in which they present even the most demanding material.

This cartridge, #4922, was consigned to us so we could present it to our customers. I only have the one. It is lightly used. Microscope examination of the stylus shows some wear. Testing with the Telarc Omnidisc shows that the stylus still manages 47 seconds before exhibiting only slight buzzing. There is good life left in this cartridge. Even the pins still have a good amount of the original gold plating.

I did not get any original packing for it, but I managed to cobble together some original Stanton peices for packing. and original 881 gray jewel box. Cartridge includes the "long Hair" tracking brush, removed now, but easily reinstalled if you want it, and new hardware kit.
