   The Goldring 1000 series are audiophile performance moving magnet phono cartridges. Their unique features include non resonant interlocking Pocan body and stylus assembly, high output, and special Geiger geometry line contact nude diamonds. Goldring's attention to materials and construction reduces energy storage effects which obscure fine musical details. The sound from the 1000 series is full bodied and rich in harmonic detail.    The 1000 SERIES will fit any standard tonearm. Mounting is accomplished with two screws ½" apart. Hardware is included.

   Goldring remains one of the few companies that fit high performance line contact styli to their line of value priced cartridges. The benefit is better highs and less mis tracking.

   The very solid construction makes for one of the most rigid replaceable stylus designs available. The high energy Samarium Cobalt magnet provides high output while maintaining low moving mass.

   The 1042 takes ridgity one step further in the unique stylus cantilever design. The stylus offset angle is actually cut into the diamond profile instead of bending the cantilever. When viewed from the side, the diamond appears to have a negative rake angle. It doesn't. It is a neat trick that to my knowledge, only Goldring employs.

   The really great features to take note of with the 1000 SERIES are, I believe, the unique construction and great performance. The 1000 series provides construction qualities often reserved for single piece moving coil designs.

   All 4 models share the same strong, one piece body made from Pocan, an ultra rigid glass-reinforced polyester. All fixed parts can be held securely in place and the body can be tightly bolted to the headshell.

   The high output of this design makes for a big sound. For equal volume, you can actually listen at a lower volume control setting. This means less hiss and preamp noise.
