KAB PS-22V

    the PS-22V is designed to replace the existing 24 VDC power pak supplied with KAB Great Sound Escorts and Creek OBXX series modules

    The PS-22V provides both EMI filtering and DC voltage pre regulation. The PS-22V is fully shielded and provides 2 separate output lines which are also fully sheilded.

   The Creek and KAB GSE modules all work internally on 18V DC bus lines. By supplying a solid, clean 22.5VDC to the module, the internal 18 volt regulator works in a "locked" condition nolonger modulating in step with line voltage variations. This added stability within the module lowers the noise floor and enhances the solidity of the soundstage.

    The KAB Great Sound Escort PS-22V includes a hi current power pak and the PS-22V module with 2 fully shielded output lines.

    The PS-22V outperforms simple regulated wall transformers with the addition of a high performance EMI filter and wide bandwidth DC regulator.

   The addition of two dedicated, fully shielded, supply lines lets you power 2 modules at the same time.

    The really great features to take note of with the KAB PS-22V are, I believe, the EMI filtering, attention to precise voltage regulation and the dual shielded supply lines.

    Basic regulated power paks are a good first step, but they lack the low noise features, full shielding and EMI filtering of the PS-22V. The regulation circuit in the PS-22V has a wide frequency response to beyond 10 Khz.

    The use of true choke EMI filtering of both the positive and ground lines effectively isolates the connected module from the main supply line. This is further enhanced by total shielding of the supply lines.

   All grounding follows true star format with load referenced return. A separate chassi ground is also provided for enhanced noise rejection.
