    All the circuitry in the TDL 4010 is carefully tailored to the unique needs of vintage disc and cylinder recordings. The controls are intuitive and their affect is easily observed.

    With 11 positions for turnover and rolloff, practically any vintage EQ curve can be reproduced.

   The process loop lets you insert processors such as click and pop suppressors.

    The LR blend control lets you find the precise center of the groove wall signal.

Dual regulated powersupply ensures a very quiet source of power.

    The really great features to take note of with the TDL 4010 are, I beleive, the high performance and flexibility. The design is well executed and has most every feature required of an archival sound library.

    KAB introduced the mono mix control in 1994 and I was very happy to see a similar feature on the TDL 4010. It is useful to be able to switch from left and right groovewalls, but the real benefit comes from controlling the left-right mix.

    Front panel controls are laid out in basic operational order. The LR Blend control lets you balance the two sides of the groovewall and find the best "mix".

    The Process Loop feature lets you use external noise processors such as declickers.

A great replacement for that tired Owl-1 and Owl Multifilter; benchmarks in their time but now long out of date.
