Litz wire is a type of cable
used in electronics to carry alternating current. The wire is designed to
reduce the skin effect and proximity effect losses in conductors used at
frequencies up to about 1 MHz. It consists of many thin wire strands,
individually insulated and twisted or woven together, following one of
several carefully prescribed patterns. This winding pattern equalizes the
proportion of the overall length over which each strand is at the outside of

Phono PCB Our own reproduction PC board for SL-1200. Better than any other reproduction board for several reasons. We use double sided copper with vias for highest conductivity. Our PCB features an internal ground that properly grounds only the left channel. Others we have seen ground both channels and this can cause hum with certain cartridges - and they cannot be defeated without cutting copper traces. Ours is set with a simple jumper; use it or don't use it. |
